Important COVID-19 Information

We're Open For COVID-19 Testing:

  1. Save your spot online. This will save you time and help us safely prepare for you and other patients. Please text us when you arrive. You may also schedule a Video Visit for a COVID-19 evaluation.
  2. If you cannot check-in online, please sign-in at our kiosk by the front door, then wait in your car. If you’ve opted for texts from us, our queuing system will text you when a provider is ready to see you! Otherwise, our staff will call you when it’s your turn. Please wear a mask in the center if you have one.
  3. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 (fever with a cough and/or shortness of breath), please save your spot online, text us when you arrive and wait in your car. Our team members will evaluate your symptoms curbside to determine the appropriate care and see if you qualify for a COVID-19 test.

Please note: We have aligned with Novant Health guidelines for COVID-19 testing. These include: not testing for mild symptoms defined as fever and cough without shortness of breath, difficulty breathing and no chest discomfort. People with mild symptoms are advised to home quarantine.

Frequently Asked Questions on COVID-19 Testing:

Q: Can I get tested for COVID-19?

A: Testing is available if your symptoms meet criteria for COVID-19 testing as determined by Novant Health.

Q: Can I walk in for the test?

A: Yes, you can walk in to be evaluated by a provider. However, for safety we advise that you check in online for your visit, notify us that you have arrived via text, and wait in your car outside until notified by one of our providers.

Q: Do I need an appointment for the test?

A: No, you do not need an appointment to be seen in our centers. However, we strongly recommend that you save your spot online to allow our team to prepare for your visit. You may also schedule a Video Visit to be evaluated by one of our providers, who will refer you for testing if determined necessary.

Q: How long do I have to wait for test results if I do get tested?

A: Our COVID-19 swabs are sent to a lab for testing, which could take 2-4 days. Please do not call our centers for test results, as results will be communicated to you as soon as they are completed via MyChart and a phone call.

No Out-Of-Pocket Costs For Video Visits With Most Major Insurance Plans!

During this public health emergency surrounding COVID-19, our patients with most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, can now book a Video Visit for zero out-of-pocket costs. Receive the same great care from a Novant Health-GoHealth Urgent Care provider from the safety of your home. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as a fever with a cough and/or shortness of breath, we encourage you to schedule a Video Visit instead of visiting a healthcare center.

If your symptoms are severe (trouble breathing, chest pain, fainting, uncontrollable pain), you should seek emergencyt care right away at your nearest ER.

I really liked all of the staff (check-in, nurses/ma, and especially Dr. John Dawson who saw me - and the PA I met named Stacia Cheadle was very nice, too). I “held my place in line” using the online service. I checked in quickly when I arrived and was in and out in no time!
