Why did I receive two different statements?

If you receive a bill for your lab test from a third party, please reach out to the specific lab company billing department if you have any questions. We do not handle the billing process when labs are sent to third parties.

Why do I owe an additional amount after paying my co-pay during my visit?

Accepted Answer

Your financial responsibility is based on your specific plan with your insurance carrier. Some insurance plans have a co-pay and deductible or co-insurance components, which may apply to services provided. The explanation of benefits you receive from your insurance carrier will detail how your claim was processed and will identify your financial responsibility (often referred to as “patient responsibility”) for your care.

Are you in network with my insurance?

We are in-network with most local insurance plans, but if you have questions on your specific plan coverage, please contact your insurance carrier to verify your benefits.

Question 4

I am an insured patient. Why is my balance for care more expensive than the uninsured patient’s rate?

Accepted Answer

Your balance is based on the benefits you have with your insurance carrier and the financial responsibility assigned to you by your insurance carrier in the explanation of benefits. The rates published here are available only to uninsured patients who pay at the time of service.

I am an uninsured patient. Why is my balance for care more expensive than the pricing for uninsured patients that I paid on the date of service?

The pricing listed on this page is only applicable to uninsured patients who pay in full on the date of service.  These prices are  estimates only and may not include all the services you receive at the time of your visit.  For example, you may undergo testing on the date of service that would be sent to a third party laboratory for analysis.  The third party may bill you separately for those services and those prices are not included here in the published rates for uninsured patients who pay on the date of service.

Question 6

How long will it be until I receive a bill if I have insurance?

Accepted Answer

For your convenience, we submit a claim to your insurance carrier for your visit. The insurance carrier may take up to 60 days to process the claim, and in some cases, even longer. In some circumstances, claims may be delayed due to coordination of your claim with your insurance carrier or if the insurance carrier requires additional information to process the claim.

I provided my insurance, why am I receiving a bill for the entire visit amount?

Accepted Answer

In some cases, your insurance carrier may request additional information to process the claim. Before the insurance carrier will pay your claim, these ‘Coordination of Benefits’ requests from your insurance carrier must be fulfilled. If you fail to respond, or fail to timely respond, to the request for additional information from your insurance carrier, you may receive a bill from us.  If you have questions regarding your specific plan coverage, please contact your insurance carrier to verify your benefits.
