Choose from 18 Centers in Connecticut that offer COVID-19 Travel Testing

COVID-19 testing for travel is available to all travelers who are not currently experiencing symptoms and do not have a known positive COVID-19 exposure in the last 14 days.

A Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care provider will conduct an in-center or virtual clinical evaluation. Once the clinical evaluation is complete, the provider will order a PCR or Rapid COVID-19 Test, and a team member will perform a simple nasal swab test on-site.

COVID-19 Travel Testing for Hawaii Bound Passengers

Prior to arrival in Hawaii, all adults 18 years of age and older are required to create an online account and register with the Safe Travels Hawai‘i program. All passengers under the age of 18 must be listed under a registered adult.

Per Hawaii regulations, passengers 5 years and older are required to receive a negative COVID-19 test result from a Trusted Testing and Travel Partner, like Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care, to be excused from a 10-day quarantine period upon arrival in Hawaii.

Individuals traveling to Aruba should inform staff of their travel destination and request the proper documentation (terminal sticker) from the Abbott ID NOW test.

Where do I find my COVID-19 test results?

If you receive a Rapid COVID-19 Test, your test results will be available on-site in approximately 15 minutes. PCR test results are typically available in 2-3 days. Test results can be found online in your Patient Portal.

How do I know which type of COVID-19 test I need for my destination?

We offer both the PCR COVID-19 Test and the Rapid Abbott ID COVID-19 Test. You are responsible for understanding the testing requirements for your travel destination and should request the required test during your visit at a Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care center. We recommend reviewing the CDC Travel Testing page prior to scheduling your visit.

How much does a COVID-19 Test for Travel Cost?

Patient responsibility, or your out-of-pocket cost, for COVID-19 testing is based on your specific insurance coverage and plan. Please contact your insurance carrier for details about your plan details and coverage, including copays, before you visit to understand your financial responsibility.

For patients without insurance, the cost of a Virtual Visit evaluation and rapid molecular COVID-19 test is $135. An in-center evaluation and rapid molecular COVID-19 test is $195.

Can I get tested for COVID-19 if I'm traveling by car?

Yes, we offer COVID-19 testing for travel for anyone traveling by plane, car, train, bus, etc.

Can I get tested for COVID-19 before and after I travel?

Yes, COVID-19 Testing is available before and after your trip. We recommend waiting at least 7 days after you arrive home before getting tested if you are concerned about a possible exposure during your trip.

Do I need to do anything after getting tested for Hawaii?

Prior to arrival in Hawaii, all adults 18 years of age and older are required to create an online account, register with the Safe Travels Hawai‘i program and upload the negative travel test result to this Safe Travels Hawai‘i account. All passengers under the age of 18 must be listed under the account of a registered adult. Completing Hawaiʻi’s Safe Travels program application form and obtaining your QR code(s) for Hawaii airport processing PRIOR TO the date of departure will significantly reduce your screening and processing time once you arrive in Hawaii.
