As part of the Invest in You! offerings at GoHealth, we have established a partnership with Control the Dose to provide a new Limited X-ray Learning Program! 

What does the Limited Xray Learning Program provide?

  • Enrollment into the Control the Dose Limited X-ray Course
    that provides readiness to sit for the state limited x-ray exam,
    where applicable
  • An assigned RT Champion to guide you through your limited x-ray course, including hands-on lab work

Who is eligible for this program?

  • Current Certified MAs interested in a Limited X-ray career
  • Current MA’s w/x-ray interested in additional education and/or prep to sit for limited x-ray state exams

In a collaborative manner, the Medical Assistant with Limited X-Ray will provide support to the Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients through a variety of tasks, including but not limited to patient care management, organization and communication. This role is responsible for performing limited capacity x-rays for patients and reporting results to Medical Providers.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred
Work Experience:
  • Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Experience performing x-rays preferred

Requires Licenses/Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire
  • One of the following certifications is required (or must obtain within 15 months of hire):
    • CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Healthcareer Association)
    • CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistant)

    • RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists; or verified through AAH, American Allied Health)

    • NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)

    • 5+ years of experience or (medical) military experience in lieu of required certifications listed above
