"Dr. Gerberg is a super hero!"
- David G, age 12
Unfortunately, David has been to Cohen Children's Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care more than once but he and his mom, Diana, know they are in great hands whenever an unexpected visit is needed. "It's not great to have the flu on Christmas Eve but when I came in to see Dr. Gerberg she was here and ready to help me. Even though I was so sick, she helped me feel better and was so caring. That is a real super hero." Diana says, "[Cohen Children's] Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care puts my mind at ease. I know what I am going to get - no waiting, kind and caring staff, really in-tune with children. It is always immaculate and I always leave feeling like I made the right choice." We asked David to draw a picture of his experience with Dr. Gerberg and when David presented her with his artwork, she was so thrilled. "Working in an Urgent Care, you don't have the opportunity to see patients on a regular basis - at least you hope not. It's so heart-warming to know we've made a difference but it is really just part of the job we love doing."
"Dr. Waterman listens to my heart and makes me feel better."
- Keelan L, age 4
Faith, Keelan's mother, is always happy to see Dr. Waterman's smiling face when she rushes in with Keelan, her twin brother or her older brother. "I know all too well how scary it is when your baby is not feeling well and you are not sure where to turn when it is late or a weekend. You don't want to have to take them to an ER if you don't have to. With Keelan, Dr. Waterman always eases my fears and has such a calming and caring presence. Even if we do end up being referred to the hospital, I feel more confident and can better take care of Keelan as a mother. I can't say enough about how good with children she is and is always a pleasure."
