As a SharePoint Online Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, implementing, and operating the SharePoint Online intranet infrastructure.
The SharePoint Online Engineer’s primary responsibility will be to help build, maintain, and drive enhancements to the M365 tenant and intranet sites. The candidate must have hands-on administration and configuration skills with Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint Online and OneDrive, and the ability to handle first-level user support/training requests, and experience designing advanced reports and dashboards. The SharePoint Online Engineer is responsible for the overall administration and assistance from internal staff and management of third-party applications. The SharePoint Online Engineer will work closely with members of the Enterprise Engineering, Business Applications, and Internal Communications teams. 
You will analyze the needs of functional departments and establish priorities for delivery of solutions, provide technical support for cloud-based systems and software, and develop new and modify the company’s information processing systems. This will be a challenging position working in a fast-paced environment focused on agile and rapid deployment.

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals preferred
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online architecture features and capabilities, including OneDrive.
  •  Power Automate
  • Power Apps
  •  SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and SharePoint PnP.
  • Experience with client-side technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React JS, jQuery, and REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks
  • Experience with identity management and governance within SharePoint Online
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Microsoft 365.
  • Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills (e.g., ability to conversationally explain complex technology to non-technical partners).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Familiarity with Modern responsive sites
  • Administration module knowledge and script development to execute SharePoint admin activities.
  • Document management and lifecycle best practices.
  • Familiarity with Entra ID, Graph API, and dynamic security group rules.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred
•  Prefer a Solid cloud experience within Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with non-Microsoft Identity Management (Okta, PingFederate, OneLogin, etc). 
Demonstrated ability to deliver complex IT projects on time and within budget, experienced in project management. 
Leading initiatives for researching and deploying new applications.
Ability to learn and support new technologies and train others.
Familiarity and experience with healthcare regulatory compliance and reporting bodies (HIPAA, JACHO, etc.). 
IT Security and vulnerability remediation, penetration testing and systems hardening.
Sharegate Experience. 
•    Developing the SharePoint platform, integrating applications, creating sites and libraries.
•    Adding users, controlling access to SharePoint sites, document libraries, and permissions.
•    Performing maintenance and support of the SharePoint and OneDrive platform and intranet.
•    Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
•    Providing SharePoint support and end-user training.
•    Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
•    Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
•    Reviewing usage and activity reports and adjusting ensure optimized user-experiences.
•    Provide guidance and recommendations for enterprise deployments of SharePoint.
•    Able to understand, develop, and perform advanced PowerShell commands.
•    Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices, and procedures for SharePoint solutions.
•    Design and implement new SharePoint solutions.
•    Create usage analytics dashboards and reports.
•    Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and controls requirements.
•    Troubleshooting, customer support tickets, incident handling.
•    Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint features such as new updates coming in from Microsoft Online.
•    Occasional travel for collaborative work sessions.
•    Provide rotational after-hours and weekend escalation support when issues require immediate resolution. 
•    Perform typical system administrative activities such as backup, restore, and issue resolution.
•    Cross-training other team members
•    Creating and maintaining documentation
•    Work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain SharePoint governance.
