Everything You Need To Know About Virtual Visits in Oregon/Washington

We understand that it can be difficult to get to a doctor’s appointment for lots of reasons. Maybe the weather’s bad or there’s lots of traffic or you can’t find childcare or your work schedule is hectic...or you simply don’t feel well enough to leave the house.

We understand all of these situations, this is why Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care is now offering Virtual Visits. Virtual Visits allow you to use your video-capable smartphone or computer to video chat with one of our providers to receive medical care in the comfort of your own home. Here’s a quick overview of what we offer, and how to tell if it’s the right option for you.

1) Virtual Visits are offered in Oregon and Washington.

In order to take advantage of our Virtual Visit service, you’ll have to be physically present in the state of Oregon or Washington at the time of your Virtual Visit.

2) We are in-network with major insurance carriers.

Currently, our Virtual Visit services are in-network with Aetna, CareOregon, MODA, PacificSource, Regence and UnitedHealthcare. We hope to expand this list with additional insurance carriers in the future.

3) Virtual visits are cost-effective for self-pay patients.

If you don’t have insurance, or if you have an insurance other than Aetna, CareOregon, MODA, PacificSource, Regence and UnitedHealthcare, you can pay out-of-pocket for your Virtual Visit, which is only $49.

4) Virtual Visits are part of the Legacy Health system.

All of your medical records from visits with Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care (including Virtual Visits) are accessible in the Legacy MyHealth system, which means that if you follow up with a specialist or your primary care provider, they’ll have easy access to your Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care medical records. You can login to your MyHealth account at LegacyHealth.Org.

5) Need additional care in one of our centers? We can help with that too.

Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care has 14 convenient locations in Oregon and Washington, with more on the way. If during your Virtual Visit, one of our providers determines your treatment is best suited for an in-person visit, you can go to one of our local neighborhood locations and the cost for your Virtual Visit will be waived.

6) We’ll take care of scheduling any needed follow-up appointments.

Legacy-GoHealth Urgent Care understands it isn’t always easy to secure Specialist and Primary Care Provider appointments, so we can help take the guess work out of the process. We can assist with scheduling an appointment with a community Specialist or Primary Care Provider.

7) We treat patients ages 6 months and up.

Our Virtual Visit providers treat adults and children ages 6 months old and up.

8) Our Virtual Visit providers treat more than a dozen medical conditions.

Virtual Visits are a good option if you have a minor, non-life-threatening illness or injury, including allergies, asthma, cold & cough, congestion, flu, insect bites, minor burns & cuts, pink eye, poison ivy & oak, rash, skin infections, sinus infections, sun burn, and urinary tract infections (UTI’s).
