Dr. Kevin Reiter Named Medical Director for UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care

Dr. Kevin Reiter

Dr. Kevin Reiter will join UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care as Medical Director at the end of August 2025, overseeing clinical leadership, quality, and operations of its centers in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Dr. Reiter is a highly respected and experienced leader in healthcare, known for his impactful tenure at Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care since 2015, where he served as Deputy Medical Director. His contributions to clinical excellence and innovation in the field of urgent care were recently recognized by the College of Urgent Care Medicine, which awarded him the 2025 Sean M. McNeeley, MD, FCUCM Advancing the Specialty Award.

With over 25 years of experience in medicine, starting as a physician assistant and later returning to medical school, Dr. Reiter brings a unique and invaluable perspective to the frontline teams he serves. At Northwell Health-GoHealth, he oversaw the expansion of multiple service lines, launched virtual care services, and spearheaded value-based care initiatives. His leadership in extending hours at numerous centers and developing an innovative physician X-ray training initiative to address an industrywide shortage in radiation technologists showcases his dedication and expertise in clinical operations. Additionally, Dr. Reiter has fostered the next generation of healthcare leaders as an active professor of family medicine and by creating partnerships with family medicine residency programs as well as physician assistant and nurse practitioner training programs.

Dr. Reiter enjoys playing and coaching basketball, exploring NYC with his family, medical education and traveling. We are excited to see Dr. Reiter continue his journey at UPMC-GoHealth.
