Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care Opens in Middlesex Co.

New centers in Old Saybrook and Cromwell expand affordable, on-demand care to the community

HARTFORD, CT (February 29, 2024) – Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care opened two new centers today in Old Saybrook and Cromwell.

The new centers are the first Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth centers to open in Middlesex County, expanding access to healthcare in the Lower Connecticut River Valley.

“Providing convenient healthcare access keeps residents safe and healthy,” said Eric Walsh, M.D., Medical Director, Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care. “Opening two new centers in Middlesex County gives residents a direct link to Hartford HealthCare’s extensive network of high-quality care. We are proud to now have 29 conveniently located centers across Connecticut and continue to expand access to our services.”

The two new centers in Cromwell and Old Saybrook are the first of several that Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth plans to open in 2024. Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth’s centers are conveniently located in retail areas:

Like all Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth locations, the new centers provide the community with a more affordable option for safe and efficient care outside of higher-cost settings like the emergency department, without sacrificing quality. The center also provides patients with a direct connection to Hartford HealthCare’s robust network of care, which is nationally recognized for quality and safety.

“This is a true example of how Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care has transformed the way this type of on-demand care is delivered in Connecticut,” said Jeffrey A. Flaks, President and CEO, Hartford HealthCare. “I could not be prouder of this innovative model of urgent care that we have created for the communities we serve.”
