Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care Opens First COVID-19 Testing Center in Cottleville

COTTLEVILLE, Mo. – April 21, 2020 – Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care has opened its first dedicated COVID-19 testing center at 6167 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO 63304. The center will follow CDC and state guidelines to administer same-day or next-day COVID-19 tests to patients for whom testing is determined to be clinically appropriate after completion of an online video visit with a Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care provider. The testing will be done curbside to ensure that our caregivers can safely administer the test without patients having to leave their vehicles. For the vast majority of commercially insured patients, as well as those patients with Medicare or Medicaid, any COVID-19 related visits and testing with be $0 out-of-pocket.

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care will use its recently launched video visit platform (found at /st-louis) to evaluate patients and determine the most appropriate care pathways, including COVID-19 testing. Video visits allow us to quickly and effortlessly care for patients from the safety and comfort of their homes, and are available for both non-COVID and COVID-19 related issues.

We are proud to offer this critically important service to those in need, especially frontline healthcare workers, first responders, including local police and firefighters, other essential personnel and at-risk patients,” said Sherry Buebendorf, Market President of Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care. “We’re helping to care for those who care for all of us, by providing enhanced access to testing and focused care.”

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care will be opening additional COVID-19 test centers over the next several days to ensure that the entire St. Louis community has sufficient access to testing and high quality care, and will continue to leverage the clinical expertise and experience that Mercy is well known for.

“With our robust video visit expansion and substantial network of local urgent care centers, we are well positioned to evaluate patients for COVID-19 symptoms and testing,” said Todd Latz, CEO of GoHealth Urgent Care. “The addition of COVID-19 testing to our online check-in, online registration, chat functionality, virtual visit capabilities and integrated medical records will give our caregivers and support teams another advantage in the fight against COVID-19.”
