Virtual Pediatric Care Now Available from Cohen Children’s Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care

May 12, 2020 – Cohen Children’s Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care is now offering dedicated pediatric Virtual Visits in New York for children as young as 1-year-old.

From the comfort of home, pediatric patients will receive virtual care from the same board-certified pediatricians that provide care at Cohen Children’s Northwell Health GoHealth Pediatric Urgent Care locations, ensuring a consistent and high-quality patient care experience. If a center visit is required as a follow up, parents will have the option of our two Pediatric Urgent Care locations or any of our 50 other locations across the greater New York area for seamless and fast care.

“When your child needs care, things like weather, car seats, traffic and drive-time that can make a sick child even more uncomfortable should not be barriers,” said Sarah Arora, President, Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care. “Virtual Visits change the game for parents by eliminating these issues and ensuring that you can get the same high-quality pediatric care in an instant.”

“Our pediatric urgent care physicians are part of the nationally-ranked Cohen Children’s Medical Center continuum of care, and with the launch of our pediatric virtual care platform, we are able to extend this high-quality standard of care to pediatric patients where ever they are physically located in the State of New York,” said Adam Boll, Executive Director of Joint Venture Operations at Northwell Health. “This is an exciting step in our continued journey to provide our patients with convenient, specialized care in the setting of their choice.”

Dr. Lynda Gerberg, Lead Pediatrician at Cohen Children’s Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care, sees Virtual Care as an exciting tool to connect parents and providers more seamlessly. “We’re now able to conveniently treat a variety of common concerns that kids frequently have, such as colds, pink eye, rash, seasonal allergies and more with Virtual Visits, saving time for busy families,” she said.
